The Big One: Puffcon 2026
If you only make one cannabis event in Los Angeles this year, make it this one. Puffcon is a two-day block party at Los Angeles Center Studios in Downtown LA that pulls together a legitimate music festival lineup, functional glass art, limited product drops, a curated food street, and more than 75 participating brands under one roof.
Read your ticket tier carefully. Some Puffcon ticket categories require the purchaser to own and bring an eligible, fully assembled Puffco device to get in or to access certain areas. That's an unusual entry condition, and it catches people out every year — confirm the requirements on the official Puffco events page before you buy.
Best for: Music fans, concentrate enthusiasts, glass collectors, food lovers, and anyone who wants a genuine festival experience rather than a trade show.

Hashathon Cup Summer Music Fest
The soonest thing on this list. Run by the Dabathon Cup crew, this is a five-hour outdoor summer festival built around DJs and live music acts, with food, games, special guests and sponsor activations filling out the rest.
Two things to know before you book. The address is private and gets emailed to ticket holders closer to the date, so you can't scout the venue in advance. And the organizer lists a no-refund policy — unusual for an event at this price point, so be sure before you commit. It's also the one event here that admits 18 and over rather than 21+.
Best for: Hash and dab enthusiasts, cup culture, and anyone who wants a festival before the fall run starts.

Best in Grass California Awards Show
A public, ticketed awards night celebrating winning California products, cultivators, brands and industry professionals — staged inside one of Downtown LA's great old Broadway theaters. The evening runs red carpet arrivals, a cocktail hour, the awards presentation and winner speeches, then a DJ-driven close.
This is a cannabis culture event more than a smoke session. The listing doesn't clearly promise onsite sales or consumption, so plan on treating it as a night out and buying what you want beforehand.
Best for: Connoisseurs, couples, nightlife visitors, brand fans, and anyone who wants to find out which California products actually won this year.

The fifth year of this public cannabis competition and awards event, billed by organizers as a night of California cannabis culture, awards and brand activations.
Heads up: the venue was still listed as to-be-announced at the time of writing, and onsite consumption has not been confirmed. Check the ticket page for the address before you make plans around it.
Best for: People who follow California flower brands, genetics and competition results closely.

You don't have to wait for a festival. This one runs as a recurring series at a real comedy club, so there's usually a date within a few weeks of whenever you're reading this.
Weed Grrrls!
A live outdoor, 420-friendly stand-up show built around women who love weed — two hours, an all-women lineup, and an outdoor room that makes the 420-friendly part actually workable rather than theoretical.
The host venue is Tao Comedy Studio, a Koreatown club the LA Times has called one of the best places for comedy in LA and LA Weekly named a Best of LA pick. It's an independent comedy space, not a retail promotion, and Weed Grrrls runs as a recurring series — a September 27 date is already on the calendar behind this one, so check the organizer's page for the next one if August doesn't work.
Best for: A weeknight-style plan that doesn't need a full weekend, date nights, groups, and anyone who'd rather laugh than stand in a festival crowd.

Soul Flow After Dark
A cannabis-friendly evening series that pairs Kriya yoga practice, a sound healing journey, guided discussion and music in a Downtown photography studio. Each night takes a theme from the three gunas and builds the practice around it.
Worth being clear about what this is: the organizers state that cannabis is entirely optional and not required to take part. It's a cannabis-friendly wellness night, not a smoke session with yoga attached — which makes it the gentlest entry point on this whole page.
Best for: Low-dose consumers, people who want something restorative instead of loud, solo attendees, and anyone burned out on festival energy.

Friday Movie Set Weed Bus Tour
A three-hour guided limo-bus tour through South and Downtown LA, taking in the Nipsey Hussle mural and Marathon store, the Kobe mural, the original Friday movie set, Crenshaw and the arena district. The operator, Nug Hunt, runs it daily and has built up 600+ five-star Google reviews doing it.
One caveat, stated plainly: the tour begins with a shopping stop at a cannabis retailer before you board. If you'd rather not build your day around someone else's shop, buy what you want at LAXCC first and treat the opening stop as optional — the rest of the route is a genuine city tour.
Best for: First-time visitors, groups of ten or more, anyone in town on a date with nothing else booked, and people who want LA history alongside the cannabis angle.

Boo's & Bud's 2026
A Halloween-themed cannabis gathering where consumption is explicitly allowed — which, as you'll see in the rules section below, is not something most "cannabis friendly" events can say.
The catch: it's private and invite-only, and the exact address is only given to confirmed guests. Treat this as a limited-access event for people already plugged into LA cannabis communities, not a festival you can buy a walk-up ticket to.
Best for: Costumes, smaller cannabis communities, and social consumption in a private setting.

Three things worth getting straight before you buy a ticket — especially if you're visiting from out of state.
Check the Age Limit, and Bring ID
California adult-use cannabis is limited to adults 21 and over, and most events on this list are 21+ — but not all of them are, so check the age limit on the listing itself rather than assuming. The Hashathon Cup, for instance, admits 18 and over. Bring a valid government-issued ID either way, and check each event's bag and device rules before you leave the house; Puffcon in particular has ticket tiers with device requirements.
"Cannabis Friendly" Isn't a Legal Status
Public consumption is generally prohibited in California. You can legally consume at a licensed lounge, on private property where it's permitted, or at a properly licensed temporary cannabis event — state-approved events lasting one to four days where licensed sales and consumption may occur. An event calling itself "cannabis friendly" does not automatically mean either is authorized.
Sort Your Ride Out First
Driving under the influence of cannabis is illegal, and open cannabis containers must be sealed or kept in the trunk while you're in the vehicle. Book the rideshare or pick the designated driver before the event, not after. See the state's what's legal guidance for the full rundown.
What we deliberately left off this list
Trade-only shows. Events like the Network Show are business trade shows for brands, retailers, buyers and licensed operators — not consumer festivals. Great if you work in the industry, a waste of a ticket if you don't.
Events with conflicting dates. Camp Kushstock currently has listings showing different dates and locations, including one with the venue still marked TBD. We'll add it once the organizer confirms a single date and place.
In-store retailer nights. A lot of what shows up in a search for "cannabis events LA" is a shop running a promotion — a brand rep at a table, a discount tied to a qualifying purchase, a lounge session for that store's customers. Useful if you're already shopping there, but it's a store promotion, not an event, so none of them are on this list.
Lounges listed as "events." A lounge is a venue, not an event. We only listed something when there's a specific name, date, time and activity attached to it — a generic lounge listing didn't make the cut.
Expired 2025 events. Several old Kushstock and WEEDCon pages still rank well in search. They've already happened. Always check the year on the listing before you buy.
